Blackie / Garden Notes

Manny Man is doing just fine in his kingdom, safe and sound in air conditioning on these hot summer days. I've been weeding in the evenings now to avoid the heat. I don't like weeding very much when the mosquitoes are bad. I also do not like using bug spray very much. Which leads me to saying it has been perfect for weeding now.

Last night I had my first snack of cherry tomatoes and peas. Very yummy.
I also picked another cup of wild raspberries for the record.

Wild Raspberry Time

It has been a good year for the wild raspberries. This time of year is sweet and special. The heat seems to turn the white raspberries deep juicy red overnight. I discovered them on my walkabout last week and have been eating handfuls before they even make it to the doorstep. But now they are finishing up.
