"December"

This image started Autumn 2006 in a scrapebook. It was a abstract painting. It came to fruition this year with some "glowing" added by computer enhancing and border. It was inspired by the month of December and you can slightly make out the word December in the image too.

Weeding And Planting in the Garden

Usually the Danger of Frost has passed by this date.

The radishes, lettuce and onions were planted at the beginning of May. They are fine for cooler spring weather planting.
Pumpkins, cucumbers, peas, sunflowers and corn should be planted this week.
The tomato and cherry tomato seedlings are planted now. They are started indoors as early as February.

Smoothie Recipe in the Garden

Lettuce and Banana Golf Shot Smoothie

handful of grapes
1/2 cup of 100% pure orange juice
1 whole banana
2 tablespoons of vanilla yogurt
handful of lettuce
some spearmint/peppermint leaves

add an ice cube, mix all in blender until smooth

makes about 2 cups
