It was a milder than usual Santa Claus Parade. The crowds were massive. There were many firetrucks in the parade. New ones and old ones. There were also many other floats but I have posted only a few favorite pictures. I had to post the picture of Darth Vader as my brother is a big fan of Star Wars. I heard one comment from a Father in the crowd " I don't remember a Christmas scene in Star Wars" he said. I was impressed Darth travelled all this way to join Santa, the Baby Jesus and all the good hearted folks in Ottawa.
The one moment I was anticipating to hear was the excitement from the kids as Santa approached and i wasn't disappointed. One little girl right beside me, held up by her mother, gasped with glee as she had her first full view of Santa coming down the street. Her face was lite up like the Christmas lights themselves.
I kind of felt like a kid all of a sudden as I took my pictures. I remember when I was a kid I collected those ET cards. I had over a hundred. Some doubles. But I was missing some. I always wished I had those missing ones and wondered what they looked like.
The photos which I took and the ones I am showing you are not all of them but maybe photos which other people never posted so I am thinking maybe I filled in the gap of the "missing ones". I hope the kids and kids at heart like the photos.
