The elusive Catbird is very difficult to get a picture of. They like to hide deep in the underbrush but you can recognize their distinct sound. Since I purchased my new camera I did manage to get my very first photo of a very young Gray Catbird. You can see in the picture where his feathers are not all quite grown in. I really do wish it grows them in before it has to take flight for the South.
