Indoor Planting
The package on the seeds always say to start indoors 8 weeks before last frost. Last frost here is May long weekend or there abouts. So if you do the math that leaves planting middle of March. Technically I'm early. The reason to starting early is because it's a lot of work and the more time you give yourself the more indoor planting you can do. If the seedlings don't get enough sunlight they will grow tall and thin. You don't want that. You also don't want them to outgrow the seedling starter flat. So deep soil flats are necessary when planting earlier, at least 3 inches deep.
